Microsoft has recently announced that the deadline to sign the Microsoft Partner Agreement (MPA) has been extended to October 31, 2020.

What does this mean for Microsoft partners?
As part of Microsoft’s initiative to transform and streamline the partner and customer experience, Microsoft will be rolling out a series of changes over time to transition customers to the new way of transacting business.

The first step in this initiative is updating the Microsoft Partner Agreement (MPA), which contains a core set of perpetual terms, enhanced data privacy and security compliance presented through a simplified contracting experience. The new partner agreement removes redundancies and enables coordinated agreements with a single execution point, requiring fewer resources and less time to manage.

What do you need to do?
To continue transacting, all CSP partners are required to review and accept the new Microsoft Partner Agreement terms through the Microsoft Partner Center. If you need help onboarding to the Partner Center, click here for step-by-step instructions.

If you have already signed the MPA, you will not have to resign the new MPA, but can review and familiarize yourself with the updated terms and conditions.

What happens if you don’t sign by the October 31, 2020 deadline?
To continue transacting as a CSP partner, you must review and sign the new Microsoft Partner Agreement by the October 31 deadline. After this date, indirect partners who have not accepted the agreement will have their CSP transactions blocked.

Questions?

As more changes are rolled out to the partner community, Tech Data will communicate them here, explaining what it means for you and if it impacts any changes in how we partner together.
